Past Continuous Tense:-
Affirmative Sentences:-
पहचान व नियम- इस टेंस में किसी कार्य की भूतकाल में चलते रहने का पता चलता है।
You, We, They और Plural Nouns के साथ were का प्रयोग किया जाता है तथा
I, He, She, It और Singular Nouns के साथ was का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
Subject+Was/Were+V 1st Form+ing+ Object
Examples:-
हम बाजार जा रहे थे। = We were going to the market.
अवनि दूध पी रही थी। = Avni was drinking milk.
गाय खेत में घास चर रही थी। = The cow was grazing in the field.
तुम पत्र लिख रहे थे। = You were writing a letter.
शीतल गाना गा रही थी। = Sheetal was singing a song.
स्नेहा पाठ पढ़ रही थी। = Sneha was reading a lesson.
संतोष कपड़े धो रही थी। = Santosh wash washing the clothes.
दीपू खाना खा रही थी। = Deepu was eating food.
रोशनी स्कूल जा रही थी। = Roshni was going to school.
सविता खाना बना रही थी। = Savita was cooking the food.
Past Continuous Tense:-
मैं ठंडे पानी से नहा रहा था। = I was bathing with the cold water.
हम बस से आगरा जा रहे थे। = We were going to Agra by bus.
वे मैदान में क्रिकेट खेल रहे थे। = They were playing cricket in the field.
नीलम छात्रों को पढ़ा रही थी। = Neelam was teaching the students.
लक्की नाच रही थी। = Lucky was dancing.
हरमन प्रीत कौर हंस रही थी। = Harman Preet Kaur was laughing.
राजा अपनी प्रजा को संबोधित कर रहा था।= The king was addressing his peoples.
एक बूढ़ा आदमी सड़क पार कर रहा था।= An old man was crossing the road.
जंगल में मोर नाच रहा था। = The peacock was dancing in the jungle.
वर्षा हो रही थी । = It was raining.
बच्चे पढ़ाई कर रहे थे। =The children were studying.
वे गणित के प्रश्न हल कर रहे थे। = They were solving questions of mathematics.
पास्ट कंटीन्यूअस टेंस:-
Negative sentences:-
नकारात्मक वाक्यों में Was, Were के बाद not लगाया जाता है।
