Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay State Employees Cashless Medical Scheme has been launched by the Uttar Pradesh government. To avail the benefits of this scheme, online State Health Card will be made. This card will be made by the State Agency for Health Integrated Services.

The main objective of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Rajya Karmchari Cashless Chikitsa Yojana is to provide cashless treatment facilities to the beneficiaries. Through this scheme, cashless treatment up to ₹ 500000 will be provided to state employees and pensioners. Now the eligible beneficiaries of this scheme will not need to depend on anyone for their treatment. Because the expenses of their treatment will be borne by the government. Beneficiaries can get their treatment through government and private hospitals. This scheme will make the citizens of the state strong and self-reliant. Apart from this, the implementation of this scheme will also improve the standard of living of the citizens of the country.

Implementation of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Rajya Karmchari Cashless Chikitsa Yojana

Under this scheme, provision of corpus fund will be made to provide cashless medical facilities to the government employees of Uttar Pradesh and their dependent members of their families.
By presenting the utility certificate, additional amount can be demanded from the Finance Department if 50% of the allotted amount of advance corpus fund remains to be used at the time of treatment.
No maximum limit has been set for cashless facility.
The beneficiary will be identified with the help of State Health Card.
After identification, they will be admitted to the hospital and provided free treatment.
The bill will be collected from funds provided to the hospital.
Treatment procedures, tests and necessary medicines will be provided to the beneficiary.
Billing will not be allowed for those medicines which are being used as food item, tonic or cosmetic. Such medicines will be paid for by the beneficiary himself.
During the period till the making of the cashless facility card, full reimbursement will be made by the administrative department on the basis of the invoice verified by the Medical Superintendent of the hospital for the treatment done as an end patient in the above mentioned government medical institutions/hospitals. It will not be necessary to get such an invoice tested by the Chief Medical Officer.

Treatment arrangements in private hospitals

Beneficiaries of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay State Employees Cashless Medical Scheme can also get treatment in private hospitals empaneled under Ayushman Bharat Scheme.
The limit per beneficiary for getting treatment in a private hospital will be up to ₹ 500000 per year.
Under Ayushman Bharat scheme, only general wards are available in private hospitals. Under the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay State Employees Cashless Medical Scheme, the facility of private ward will be made available in future as per the pay band of the employee.

State Health Card

State Health Card will be made for all the beneficiaries covered under this scheme.
The beneficiary will be identified through this card. After which they will be provided cashless treatment.
Along with the details of the beneficiaries, the details of their dependent family members will also be present in the State Health Card.
The responsibility of getting the State Health Card made on time has been assigned to the department heads.

Karmchari Cashless Chikitsa Yojana Financial Solution

Under this scheme, medical facilities up to a maximum of ₹ 500000 will be provided to the beneficiary and his family through private hospitals.
To avail this benefit, the rate of ₹ 1102 per beneficiary family will be given to the Secretary.
If this rate is revised in future, funds will be provided as per the revised rate.
A corpus of Rs 200 crore has been created in the Medical Education Department for the purpose of providing advance funds to Government Medical Colleges/Medical Institutions/Medical Universities or Autonomous State Medical Colleges.
In this corpus, maximum advance amount of 50% will be provided as first installment.
The next installment will be provided to these hospitals after they provide a certificate of utilization of 50% of the advance amount given to them.
A corpus of Rs 100 crore will be created to provide advance funds to the hospitals of the Medical and Health Department.
The next installment will be provided on providing the utilization certificate of 50% of the amount given by the medical institution.
In both the departments, the corpus amount will be kept by opening separate accounts in the government bank.
The first accounting of the expenditure incurred by the medical institutions on the beneficiaries will be maintained.
All bills and records will also be kept safe so that audit can be conducted on time.
More than 30 lakh citizens will benefit through this scheme.
