The main objective of starting the Self-reliant India Employment Scheme is to provide new employment opportunities to the people who have lost their jobs due to the Corona epidemic. Beneficiaries (Employees) of Aatmnirbhar Bharat Rojgar Yojana

Employees whose salary is less than ₹ 15000 and who were not employed in any EPFO registered establishment before October 1, 2020 and did not have a Universal Account Number or did not have an EPF Member Account Number before October 1, 2020.
Those employees who had Universal Account Number and were receiving salary of less than ₹ 15000. Those who have lost their jobs due to coronavirus infection between March 1, 2020 and September 30, 2020 and have not been appointed in any EPF registered establishment before September 30, 2020.

Evaluation of Self-reliant India Employment Scheme

A third party evaluation of the scheme will be conducted by EPFO within a period of 3 months before closure of the scheme and a report will be sent to the DGE, Ministry of Labor and Employment, Government of India.
The expenditure on evaluation of the scheme will be borne by EPFO from its own resources.

Monitoring Mechanism of Aatmnirbhar Bharat Rojgar Yojana

A mechanism will be set up by EPFO to monitor the implementation of the scheme on a weekly basis.
For effective monitoring of this scheme, monthly reports will be provided by EPFO to the Ministry of Labor and Employment, Government of India.

Implementation of Self-reliant India Employment Scheme

A software will be developed by EPFO to implement this scheme.

How to avail the benefits of Aatmnirbhar Bharat Rojgar Yojana

Under this scheme, benefits will be provided to both the employee and the organization.
If the institutions registered under EPFO provide new employment opportunities, then those institutions will be able to get the benefits of this scheme.
Those institutions whose employee strength is less than 50 and those institutions provide employment to two or more employees and register those employees under the Provident Fund, only then both the institution and the employee will be provided the benefit of the scheme.
Similarly, for those institutions whose employee strength is more than 50, it is mandatory for them to provide employment to at least 5 new employees and register them under EPFO.
All the organizations which want to avail the benefits of Self-reliant India Employment Scheme are required to register themselves under EPFO so that benefits can be given to both the new employee and the organization.

Main facts of Self-reliant India Employment Scheme

Through this scheme, incentives are provided to appointees and new employees of eligible establishments registered with EPFO.
This incentive is provided for 2 years after registration.
The benefit will be provided to all new employees of establishments registered with EPFO after October 1, 2020.
All those new employees whose salary is less than ₹ 15000 will be provided the benefit of this scheme for 24 months from the date of registration.
The benefit of this scheme will be provided to the institute only if it appoints the prescribed minimum number of new employees.

Benefits of Prime Minister Self-Employment India Employment Scheme

Our Central Government will provide the benefits of the scheme under this scheme for the next 2 years, so let us know what type of benefits will be provided by the Government of India under the scheme.

In those institutions whose employee strength is less than 1000, 12% of the employee’s salary and 12% of the employing organization’s share, which is a total of 24%, will be deposited by the Central Government under the Provident Fund EPFO.
Similarly, in institutions whose employee capacity is more than 1000, then according to the salary of the employees working in these institutions, only 12% of the employee’s share will be given in the provident fund by the Central Government.
This contribution will be provided by the Central Government for the next 2 years.

Eligibility Criteria for Establishments

All those establishments which are registered with EPFO and appoint new employees by September 2020 will get the benefit of this scheme.
Establishments will be able to avail the benefits of this scheme if their reference base is 50 employees or less and they have appointed at least 2 new employees.
If the reference base of the establishment is 50 employees or more, then the establishment will be able to avail the benefit of this scheme by appointing at least 5 new employees.

Eligibility of employees under Aatmnirbhar Bharat Rojgar Yojana

New employees appointed during the period from 1 October 2020 to 30 June 2021 are eligible to avail the benefits of this scheme.
It is mandatory for every new employee to have an Aadhaar seeded Universal Account Number.
Benefits under this scheme will be paid for the salary month in which the employee is employed in any eligible establishment.
If the monthly salary of the employee exceeds ₹ 14999 at any time then that employee will become ineligible.

To avail the benefits of this scheme, you will have to register your establishment under this scheme.
It is also mandatory for the employer to ensure that the updated ownership return is already filed by the employer with EPFO.
Before employing any employee, it is mandatory for the employer to take self declaration regarding EPF member account number etc. in respect of the previous institution.
It is mandatory for the employer to file an electronic challan cum return in respect of all employees.
Applications can be made under this scheme from October 2020 to June 2021.
The benefits of this scheme can be availed for 24 months after registration.
It is mandatory for the establishment to file ICR on time.
If a new establishment is registered under EPFO, then in this case the reference base of the employees will be considered zero.
The employer will have to provide all the correct information related to the employees to avail the benefits of this scheme. If the employer has entered any wrong information to avail the benefits of this scheme, then in this situation the appointee will be considered guilty.
If the amount of PF is deducted from the employee’s salary by the appointee, then in this situation legal action will be taken against the appointee.
If an eligible employee leaves one job and takes up another job, then even in this situation he will continue to get the benefits of this scheme.
If an eligible employee works in an ineligible institution, then in this situation he will not be provided the benefit of this scheme.
If the salary of any eligible employee exceeds ₹ 14999, he will not be provided the benefit of this scheme.
