Evaluation of Self-reliant India Employment Scheme

  • Through this scheme, incentives are provided to appointees and new employees of eligible establishments registered with EPFO.
  • This incentive is provided for 2 years after registration.
  • The benefit will be provided to all new employees of establishments registered with EPFO ​​after October 1, 2020.
  • All those new employees whose salary is less than ₹ 15000 will be provided the benefit of this scheme for 24 months from the date of registration.

Benefits of Prime Minister Self-Employment India Employment Scheme

Our Central Government will provide the benefits of the scheme under this scheme for the next 2 years, so let us know what type of benefits will be provided by the Government of India under the scheme.

  • In those institutions whose employee strength is less than 1000, 12% of the employee’s salary and 12% of the employing organization’s share, which is a total of 24%, will be deposited by the Central Government under the Provident Fund EPFO.
  • Similarly, in institutions whose employee capacity is more than 1000, then according to the salary of the employees working in these institutions, only 12% of the employee’s share will be given in the provident fund by the Central Government.
  • This contribution will be provided by the Central Government for the next 2 years.

Eligibility Criteria for Establishments

  • All those establishments which are registered with EPFO ​​and appoint new employees by September 2020 will get the benefit of this scheme.
  • Establishments will be able to avail the benefits of this scheme if their reference base is 50 employees or less and they have appointed at least 2 new employees.
  • If the reference base of the establishment is 50 employees or more, then the establishment will be able to avail the benefit of this scheme by appointing at least 5 new employees.

Eligibility of employees under Aatmnirbhar Bharat Rojgar Yojana

  • New employees appointed during the period from 1 October 2020 to 30 June 2021 are eligible to avail the benefits of this scheme.
  • It is mandatory for every new employee to have an Aadhaar seeded Universal Account Number.
  • Benefits under this scheme will be paid for the salary month in which the employee is employed in any eligible establishment.
  • If the monthly salary of the employee exceeds ₹ 14999 at any time then that employee will become ineligible.

  • Applications can be made under this scheme from October 2020 to June 2021.

  • If the amount of PF is deducted from the employee’s salary by the appointee, then in this situation legal action will be taken against the appointee.
  • If an eligible employee leaves one job and takes up another job, then even in this situation he will continue to get the benefits of this scheme.
  • If an eligible employee works in an ineligible institution, then in this situation he will not be provided the benefit of this scheme.
  • If the salary of any eligible employee exceeds ₹ 14999, he will not be provided the benefit of this scheme.
